Alexander Whalley
Biography
Alexander Whalley is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Calgary and the Haskayne School of Business. He also serves as a Lab Economist at the Creative Destruction Lab - Rockies and a research fellow with the Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland – College Park and has been a visiting scholar at the London School of Economics, Stanford University, the University of California - Berkeley, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
He has been involved in over $ 5 million of research grants from the National Science Foundation (USA), National Bureau of Economic Research (USA) , Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (Canada), National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (Canada) and the Alberta Major Innovation Fund (Canada) to support his research.
